San Simeon is also home to elephant seals that breed and frolic on the beaches. It is quite a sight and treat to the ear to hear these huge animals play and voice their apparent glee. We also spotted a very chubby squirrel with his eyes on the closes tourist, likely in hopes of a chunk of burrito :-)
