May 23rd, the kids had a Science BBQ at Fraser Valley Distance Ed. Yvonne's best buddy from this year is Sophie - she's in Grade 2 and super smart. The school put on a BBQ to celebrate the end of school. The kids got to build rockets and shoot them off. They were so cool. They just flew through the air. Drove Princess out of her mind for the first few. After lunch, the kids got to build parachutes to protect eggs as they were dropped from the school roof. We went on-line the night before and found out the better you protect your egg, the better it will last. We used margarine containers with socks and batting around the eggs to protect them. We used pipe cleaners to attach plastic bags to the containers as a parachute. Yvonne's made it through the first egg drop, but Sophie's broke. A couple days later, we experimented dropping Yvonnes' from the top of the RV and it lasted another 2 drops before it broke. It was a fun day!!June 3rd - we have now officially completed all the Kindergarten curriculum and are on SUMMER HOLIDAY!!!
