Grade 2 - holy cow! Where has the time gone........? Yesterday, we had our photos done so Yvonne could have a school photo. She is a lovely subject and easily photographed. She just loves posing and wanted the shoot to keep going when it was done - typical 13 year old trapped in a 7 year old body!!
It is hard to believe that summer is over, especially since we still have such lovely weather. This must be the nicest summer on record for Vancouver - it was amazing. We are now back into the groove of school, work, and play. Yvonne picked up right where she left off at the end of last year, seeming to not have lost a thing during our nice, long 3-month summer vacation. Our worst hurdle is just getting ready in a timely fashion in the morning. We have been spoiled by not having the intensity of a strict schedule as most families do.
We are now gearing our attention towards departing Vancouver for what we are planning to be our last winter south - for a while! We have booked San Diego for the first and last month of the winter, with Palm Springs, Yuma, and Menifee to fill in the time between. We will be getting to Campland on the Bay on Oct 30th so that we can participate in what we've heard to be a wicked Halloween party they host. We also look forward to American Thanksgiving with our friend Dan, since he will be there as well. Does he really like us, or is it the amazing turkey???? hee hee, we know the answer, Dan!
See y'all soon.....our southern friends. And Adios until next time, all our northern friends XOXO
